Cruising through the Boka Kotorska bay – one day trip full of good impressions

Published on January 9, 2014 at the main blog Last year in September I went on cruising through the Boka Kotorska bay. That was organized as a part of Spark.me, the internet conference, which was held in Becici (Montenegro) for participants, to relax after two days of interesting lectures. This was my third visit to Montenegro. […]

I’ve read the book “The Happiness of Pursuit” by Chris Guillebeau

Do you have something that you dream about? Something you want to do even if it sounds crazy or useless? Maybe it’s something even you think it couldn’t be done. Maybe you don’t have courage to think about it. If you have such a dream, then Chris Guillebeau wrote the book “The Happiness of Pursuit” just for you.

In this book you can find stories about people who did something they dreamed about, mostly just for themselves. This is the book about normal people doing remarkable things. Writer of the book, Chris, visited every country in the world. We can read about his quest. We also can read about the woman who traveled in every state in America, or about the man who walk whole Turkey by foot or the woman who spent more than a year on the tree to stop illegal logging in Tasmania. We can also find a story about a woman who had 50 dates in 50 states, or about a guy who 17 years abstained from motorized transport. He also didn’t speak for years, and that started from his wish to express protest against oil companies.

I’ve been writing a blog in my native language for 5 years and it has a large impact on me and my life. I wrote about that in my blog post Who Am I And What I’ve Got From Writing My Blog. But if you ask me what is the most important thing that my blog gave to me I say – self-confidence.

I am the introvert person and when I am surrounded with many people I usually don’t talk. I don’t know what others may think of me in such situations, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they think I’m stupid 🙂 Writing a blog gave me the chance to show myself the way I am. I wrote about different things during these five years. Sometimes I write about using social media for business because I am amazed with the impact and possibilities they have on business today. These posts helped me to find my current employment because my blog was my resume. I didn’t have a job interview also – knowledge from my posts was enough. I work as a community manager in Prime Communications, marketing and public relations firm from Banja Luka. And I work remotely, because Zenica, the town where I live since my birth, is about 180 km far from Banja Luka. Read more about Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone
